Thyme is considered one of the many branched perennials and is covered with obars, ranging in height from 30 to 80 cm. Its leaves are almost ovided with white fluff. The flowers appear from the tops of the plant in the form of a large group, which are small oral flowers in purple or red color that appear in the spring and summer months, and this plant usually grows in rocky and mountainous places
The story:
In a remote village on the outskirts of the mountains in Saudi Arabia, there lived a young man named Fares. He grew up in a simple family that worked in agriculture, and Saudi thyme was one of the main crops his father grew. Since his childhood, Fares loved thyme; its fragrant aroma filled the air, and its green leaves always told him stories of patience and giving.
But one day, the village was struck by a harsh drought that destroyed all the crops, including the thyme. Fares felt deep sadness, especially since thyme was not just a plant to him, but a connection to his father, who had cultivated it all his life. He always remembered his father’s words: “Thyme doesn’t wither easily; it grows even in the harshest conditions.”
Fares felt like he had lost everything. He went through days of sorrow and depression, believing his life had come to a halt. However, one day while walking through the devastated land, he discovered a small thyme plant growing between the rocks. It was simple yet green, shining under the sun, as if reminding him of his father’s words.
At that moment, Fares realized that life, like thyme, does not end easily. He decided to bring hope back to himself and to the land. He began planting thyme again, but this time with more determination and hope than ever before. He tended to the soil and cared for it with his own hands, inspired by the thyme that never knew defeat.
Days and months passed, and with them, the thyme began to grow and flourish once again. The land filled with its fragrant aroma, and its green leaves adorned the horizon. It was not just about restoring the thyme crop; Fares felt hope return to his heart, as if the thyme had brought life back to him.
Over time, the entire village benefited from the thyme that Fares had planted. The thyme became not just an aromatic plant but a symbol of patience and hope, a source of livelihood for the people. Its scent returned to the village, teaching everyone that, no matter how harsh the circumstances, life always offers a new chance to grow and thrive.
From that moment on, Fares cherished thyme more than ever, for it wasn’t just a plant, but a lesson in strength and perseverance. He knew that “hope never dies, just as thyme never withers.”
